Gas or liquid-tight 3D printing?
Gas and liquid proof 3D printing, is that possible? It certainly is! Especially with 3D printing – a process of layer-by-layer construction – the combination of material and technology is an important point of attention. Plastics and porosity/porosity are well-known phenomena. Both immediately after production of a model and when used over time.
To seal the products, Oceanz can work with different materials and techniques and choose the right design. To give an example: The plastic used in powder bed printing is naturally porous, but with the right design and coating it can be made gas- & liquid-tight. If, for example, we use a DLP technique, the plastic has completely different sealing properties.
In short, the choice here is tailor-made.
