The stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing technique uses a UV laser and a liquid bath containing a UV sensitive liquid polymer. This liquid is illuminated layer by layer by the laser where the liquid has to harden. With SLA, models are printed in a naturally colored material with a very high detail resolution and a smooth surface.
