World Food Experience Presented at Floriade
The World Food Experience, set to open in Ede in 2023, was central to the presentation at the Floriade Expo 2022. From April 14 to October 9, visitors could gain an engaging glimpse into the future of food innovation. The 3D-printed Stinger Dome on the stand not only symbolized the World Food Experience, but also highlighted Ede’s rich military history.
Realistic 3D-Printed Stinger Dome
The miniature version of the Stinger Dome was modeled, printed, and assembled by Oceanz in just four weeks. To ensure the model was as realistic as possible, texts and the World Food Experience logo were carefully applied to the structure.
Benefits of 3D Printing for this Project:
- Fast turnaround: Completed within four weeks.
- High detail level: Intricate shapes and texts applied with precision.
- Collaboration: Close coordination with the client ensured optimal quality.
History of the Stinger Dome in Ede
Built in 1984, the Stinger Dome stands on the barracks grounds surrounding the World Food Experience. This distinctive, 20-meter-tall dome-shaped building was used as a training space for soldiers practicing with Stinger anti-aircraft missiles. The dome was in use until 2008, after which it was decommissioned by the Ministry of Defense.
